Sviluppo Relais du Mont Blanc S.p.A. is the owner of a 10,000-sqmlarge plot of land where the 5-star “Grand Hotel Courmayeur Mont Blanc” is currently under construction. The new hotel is next to the town centre and Parco Bollino and faces the meadows of Villair, thus offering its guests a breath-taking view of the Mont Blanc and the Brenva glacier. The project, based on a concept by Studio Citterio Patricia Viel and Partners, was developed by Anna Giorgi & Partners for the architectural part and by Inart for installations and structures and involves the construction of a 5-star hotel featuring 4 buildings, the so-called Chalets, with heights ranging from 2 to 4 floors above ground, an indoor click here car park as well as technical and service rooms. The central Chalet, the so-called Club House, will host a restaurant, a lounge bar with a terrace and an external veranda. The other three side chalets will host 72 rooms and a 500 sqm Spa. The hotel consists of a traditional structure with typical building materials of the Val D’Aosta mountains: façades are in stone and wood and roof coverings in local Losa stone. The interior design project will be developed by Studio Simonetti, a design studio from Rimini specializing in luxury hotels. The hotel is expected to open in December 2014 and will be operated by Mythos Hotels Srl, a hotel management company chaired by Santino Galbiati, renowned manager of some of the most famous hotels in Cortina D’Ampezzo.
